Rogaining is a cross between cross country running and orienteering – it is fun and competitive and for everyone!
The Geraldine Rogaine Autumn Muster is a favourite event on the rogaining calendar as it is both challenging for the advanced entrants, makes a great training event for out outdoor challenges and offers beginnner experiences for young people and families.
Plus there are prizes and a meal provided!
GRAM 2018 is at an interesting and very scenic new location in scenic South Canterbury inland from Geraldine. It is open farmland with native forest and scrub in the valleys. The terrain comprises long valleys with moderately-steep sides, and some gentler front country. There are some interesting patches of native bush, and spectacular views from higher ground. A notable feature is that there are few fences (and no deer fences). Also, this year, we introduce electronic punching (Navlight). So, simple punching at controls, and no long delay for results (and prizes).
