The Geraldine Community Vehicle Trust offers a daily taxi service around town, and an ‘on demand’ shuttle service to Timaru and Temuka and to neighbouring areas such as Peel Forest, Woodbury and Orari.

Tuesdays see a scheduled service leaving for Timaru at 9:30 am in the morning and leaving Timaru on the return journey at 2:00 pm in the afternoon.

The service also provides wheelchair transport, enabling those with impaired abilities to participate fully in our community.  The Trust is Total Mobility accredited. Check out this awesome video clip about our service.

Over 30 volunteers assist with driving the vehicles.  If you feel you would enjoy the satisfaction of volunteer driving for the Geraldine community, please contact us for details.

The Vehicle Trust also hire their five Toyota Hi-Ace mini buses to local community groups, schools, sports teams and businesses.

Taxi around Geraldine village, $5.00 each way
On demand shuttle service to Timaru, $35 return
Scheduled service to Timaru on Tuesday, $10 one way and $20 return trip

The Trust also offers a service for Te Araroa walkers to/from Geraldine to the Green Man Cafe in Peel Forest Village.  The service is not able to travel all the way to Andrews Stream.
