Description

Discover the rich history of Geraldine and the surrounding districts at the Geraldine Historical Museum. The Museum is located in the original Town Board Office built in 1885, (an Historical Places Trust Category 2 building), on Cox Street and brings the local stories to life through engaging displays, life-sized photographs, and audio-visual presentations. https://www.geraldinemuseum.nz/

Entry is just $5 for adults, and children can explore for free! Our friendly volunteers are here daily to welcome and share fascinating insights about our community’s past.

Whether you want a family history research, or to learn more about local businesses or organisations, there’s something for everyone. The Museum regularly hosts schools and groups, making history fun and interactive.
