Sally Houston
I was born in Geraldine and grew up on our family farm, which gave me a strong connection to the local community. After attending boarding school in Christchurch, spending time in the North Island and living overseas, I returned to the Geraldine area in 2000. Geraldine has been a wonderful place to raise my three daughters, with a strong sense of community support, and opportunity.
I currently work at Geraldine High school, and also run a NZ made wholesale business from our home, crafting products from lambskin, leather, calf hide and possum fur.
I am passionate about supporting local initiatives, whether through business, sport or volunteering, and I value the strength that rural communities bring through working together.
I’m looking forward to being involved in the GLT and contributing to the protection of our community assets, helping to ensure security and sustainability for future generations.
