Rivendell is situated on the outskirts of the delightful town of Geraldine, New Zealand (which is only a two hour drive from Christchurch, as well as being on the Central South Island Tourist route for people travelling on to Mt Cook or the lakes and Queenstown) in a secluded spot with beautiful gardens ,just as with Tolkien's Rivendell in the Lord of the Rings.

We offer you a peaceful and tranquill stay with the chance to unwind and relax without the crowds that you find in other tourist towns.

Looking for a break over the winter months? Why not stay with us and take a decent break away from everything. We have a spa pool (summer months only) and all the comforts of home, but also offer peace and quiet and the chance to escape all the pressures of the real world for a night or two.
